BRAZILIAN CULTURE COURSE
The Brazilian Culture course can be integrated into the language course or taken separately. The aim is to offer students the chance to immerse themselves into the Brazilian culture. Through a series of lectures by prominent local professionals, students will learn about Brazilian history, music, cuisine, political and socio-economic related issues, and other topics. The lectures can be done in Portuguese or in English. The program is quite flexible and can be tailored to meet the needs of a specific group. It is suggested a total number of 10 lectures, of 2 hours each.
As part of the course, students will also visit the most interesting museums, go sightseeing and take short trips to the most famous historical towns in the state of Bahia, such as Cachoeira, Lençóis (Chapada Diamantina), Morro de São Paulo and Praia do Forte.
Our staff can also help you find ways to pursue your interests, be it capoeira, Afro-Brazilian dance, Brazilian music, percussion, Candomblé religion and many others.
This course can only be offered in a group format. Credit hours can also be granted if required by the student's home university.
